Thank you for hiking, biking and spending time in Klickitat County and on the Klickitat Trail!  Food, drink, gas, lodging and services are available near several areas of the Trail.  Plan to stop and provision at one of our local businesses.  Or, have dinner and spend the night!


Lyle Markets and Food Services
  • Country Cafe:  Home-cooked food.
  • Full Throttle Espress: Espresso, ice cream, snacks.
  • Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast:  First Saturday of each month.  7:30-10:30 am, Lyle Lions Community Center.
  • Lyle Gas Station:  Gas, service bay.
  • Lyle Hotel and Restaurant: Historic railroad hotel with 10 guest rooms, fine dining (Wed.-Sat. 5-9 pm, Sun. 4-8 pm), information and local history.  Call for reservations:  (800) 447-6310.
  • Lyle Merc:  Groceries, snacks, laundry, showers, fishing supplies, information.
  • Lyle Taproom:  Food, drink, place to relax.
  • Milestone Nursery:  Plant nursery specializing in native plants of the Columbia Gorge.  By appointment:  (509) 365-5222.

Klickitat Markets and Food Services
  • Canyon Market: Groceries, pizza slices, sandwiches, fresh produce, beverages, fishing tackle, open 7 days a week.  100 Main St. (509) 369-4400.
  • Huntington's Bar & Grill:  Full menu, from steaks to sandwiches.  Open 4 pm, closed Wednesdays.  (509) 369-4371.
  • Klickitat Chevron:  Information, fishing supplies, groceries, deli, gas, rooms to rent, fishing shuttle service.  (509) 369-3601.
  • Klickitat Kafe:  Open for breakfast and lunch with indoor and outdoor dining.  Hours are:  7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Wednesday-Sunday; Closed Monday and Tuesday.
  • Klickitat Trader: Gas station connected to the restaurant.  Groceries, fishing supplies, and an ATM.  Open 6:30 AM - 8:00 PM, 7 days a week.

Camping, Parks, Lodging
  • Catherine Creek:  Day use park, hiking, Old Highway 8, no overnight camping.
  • Doug's Beach: Day use park, windsurfing, picnic, sandy beach.  3 miles east of Lyle on SR14.
  • Columbia Hills State Park:  Petroglyphs, petroglyph tours, camping, swimming, boating.  Camping open seasonally only. East of Dallesport on SR14.   (509) 767-1159.
  • Ice Plant Public Access:  Camping available at the WDFW (Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlife) property at the old ice house on SR 142, approximately 3 miles past the town of Klickitat. Located around MP15 on SR142 (maybe halfway between Wahkiakus and Suburbia. No Water and No electricity. Vault toilet. This is about a mile and a half downstream on the Klickitat from Swale Canyon connection. Because there is no bridge in Suburbia, those tackling an entire trail corridor experience need to bypass the dead-end segment on SR142 through this area.
  • Klickitat-Balfour Park:  Day use park, hiking, picnic, overlooking the Nationally Designated Wild & Scenic Klickitat River.  Lyle.
  • Klickitat Riverfront Inn: Four units for nightly, daily or weekly rental.  Two of the units have full kitchens as well as exit to the outdoor patio.  All rooms are about 400 sq. ft. and have river views.  218 Second St., Klickitat.  (509) 369-2035 or (509) 369-4400 (Canyon Market).
  • Klickitat Riverside Cabins:  Remote, beautiful setting along the Klickitat Trail. (509) 369-2366.
  • Klickitat County Tourism:  Camping & RV Parks

  • Morning Song Acres B&B:  They are just above the trail, on the Centerville Hwy. Willing ble to provide “drop off” and “pick up” services if needed for hikers.  (509) 365-3600.
  • Wishbone Campground:  Peaceful, quiet.  Northwest of Lyle.  10 Canyon Rd., off Old Hwy. 8.  (509) 365-3210.

  • Adventure Fishing:  Guided drift boat fishing trips for steelhead and salmon on the Klickitat River.  Holds U.S. Forest Service use permit for the Wild & Scenic section of the Klickitat River. Family-run Klickitat guide service since 1969. (509) 369-2366
